What an interesting world we, the bloggers, have created @ www. You don't know anybody in the beginning, but as the time goes by ... you feel as if you've been talking to these people (through your blog) since you've known the word 'pherend' -- Leaving oont patang (did I say that right?) comments on each others blog, teasing each other, sharing the life happenings, having celebrations (d'you guys remember the 14th Aug hangama? YEAH!) etc waghera. And then, we have this tagging tradition going on ... somebody starts off something and tags other bloggers, then those bloggers hit an entry and tag other bloggers, and so it goes .. on and on. Here's an example -- i've been tagged by Raheel.
Ok so, here we go ...
5 Years Ago: I was back-home -- Pakistan. Every moment was full of joyless joy -- life was so full that it felt really empty(following along? good). No -- really, five years ago, I was living, more like surviving in Karachi -- and since I knew that it's not where I belong, it's not where i'll make my living, my life .. my everything -- I just wanted to fly away to somewhere where i'll live my dreams. And that somewhere has happened to be Canada -- and here I am today. And a hypocritical Pakistani, as a lot of people would call me today -- im really not. I just dont know how to express my love .. be it Pakistan, or someone else. Five years ago .. I had an amazing view on life .. and a perfect future planned, but nothing has worked out the way I planned. And let's be realistic, that's what happens 9.5 out of 10 times. Do we have tears in our eyes yet, or would you like me to continue? Ok, so I heard "ab buss bhi karo, kitna rulao gi!"
The interested ones can drop me a line to get the rest of the story -- you dont have to subscribe -- just leave your mark, and you'll get this $infinite value story bilkul free! The story may contain phases of perpetual crying -- reader descretion is advised.
1 Year Ago: I was right here, in Canada. Enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician program @ some private college. And every moment was full of suffering, not because I hated studies/learning, but that college was full of amazing boredome, and full-time bitches (excuse my language).God .. how I survived. Khair, Alhamdulillah, all the suffering was finally paid off, im out of there now, im now emplyed as a Pharmacy Technician. That last year didn't rock in my life -- I just turned 20.
5 Songs that I know all the words to: Buss panch?! (Only five?!!) C'mon, you could've asked for more.Ok well, here are some that i'm singing, rather humming quite often these days: Aadat by Jal, Lamhay by Jal, Pieces by Sum41, Incomplete by Backstreet Boys, Tinka Tinka from the movie Karam. And im trying to memorize the words to Mujhe Tum Se Hogaya Hai Pyar by Dr. AurBilla. (mut poochho!)
5 Snacks I enjoy: (Some of the snacks that im going to mention just might not be a snack for you, but they are for me)
Chai (tea), Ice-cream, Candies+chocolates, Noodles+Soups, Smoothie. I think we've got 5 now. But are you kidding me! They're countless. Well, since you only asked for 5, i'll stop here.
5 Things I'd do with $100 million dollars: Pay off the loan, buy a property, will come up with some business and invest into it, will give some away to my family, spend some on myself, and the rest of it will be spent on those who succeed to impress me (different criterias involved)
5 Places I'd run away to: Karachi (but i'll have to run away from there after a while .. I dont belong there, so then I'll go to >> ), India (and ask e'm "tum logon ke saath akhir problem kya hai?" wahan se bhag ke >>), States (I wanna know how it feels to live in a purely fake, and mystically corrupted world, i'll run to >>), Makkah (Taubah Astaghfaar karnay ... ), finally, I'd like to runaway to somewhere ... where there exists no one that knows me, or whom I know. There, i'll put an end to my remarkable journey.
5 Things that i'd never wear: mini skirts, shorts, tank tops, gharara, tight jeans. To sum it up -- i wouldnt wanna wear something that's tight enough to distract my breathing rhythm, and putting my body on an exhibition. Afterall, female body's too precious to be unveiled, or at least, im my beliefs, it is.
As far as goes the question of Gharara, errr .. I just dont like it.
5 Favourite TV Shows: Hmmm .. not that I watch a lot of Tv. But what the heck... this is what I enjoy: Extreme Makeover:Home Edition, Law & Order SVU, The Apprentice, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Passionate Eye (on CBC). So basically, shows that are informative (or informative for me at least), shows that contain the warning: "...viewer discretion is advised", shows that make me laugh, and the ones that make me think .. and leave me thinking. "What happens now :|"
5 Greatest Joys: At this point in life -- real joy is no where to be found. Therefore, Im skipping the question, for now :)
5 Favourtire Toys: My stuffed monkey, whom I named Monami, my laptop -- which'll be gone soon, pens and pencils, my younger brothers (sometimes they are .. TOYS!), and my best budy Sana (Heck yea, I play with her. Just that we have a different way to play the play ;])
5 People that im tagging: Hmm... well, I just might not be tagging all five -- but let's see. Here we go: I'd like to tag Shirazi, Yasir, Mr. Pakistani Dentist a.k.a Teeth Maestro, BacktoDesh, Guru. Hmm, I think that's it for now. If anyone else wants to be tagged, let me know.
Cheers :)
That's it Fahad you're tagged too now!
